EduEvidence.org receives funding from the Norwegian government
Strengthening global EdTech certification efforts
Oslo, Norway – EduEvidence.org, also known as The International Certification of Evidence in EdTech (ICEIE) announced that it has secured initial funding from the Norwegian government. This funding will enable EduEvidence to further develop and expand its Global EdTech Evidence List, a critical resource for educators, policymakers, and innovators worldwide.
Why This Matters
In an era when governments are yet to establish regulations and safeguards for technologies used by children, the need for evidence-based validation has never been greater. With thousands of EdTech products claiming to enhance learning outcomes, how can educators and institutions discern what truly works? This is where EduEvidence.org steps in.
The EduEvidence database is based on a global benchmark for certifying EdTech products based on rigorous, research-backed evidence. By providing a trusted, independent certification, ICEIE ensures that only the most effective and scientifically validated tools earn the EduEvidence seal of approval. This not only empowers educators to make informed decisions but also drives innovation by encouraging EdTech developers to prioritize evidence-based design wherever they are.
Why Innovation Norway’s Support is a Game-Changer
The funding from the government through the Innovation Norway-programme, underscores the importance of building trust in EdTech solutions and aligns with Norway’s commitment to fostering innovation in education. This support will enable ICEIE to:
Expand the EduEvidence database to include more certified products from diverse regions and educational contexts.
Enhance the certification process by incorporating advanced methodologies for evaluating new tools.
Increase global accessibility to the database, ensuring that educators worldwide can easily identify and adopt proven EdTech solutions.
The funding marks a significant milestone for ICEIE, reinforcing its position as a global leader in EdTech certifications and promoting research-based standards for educational innovations.
Looking Ahead
This funding not only validates the importance of ICEIE’s mission but also opens doors to new opportunities.
Strengthen its global presence by collaborating with international stakeholders, including governments, educational institutions, and EdTech companies.
Drive systemic change by promoting the adoption of evidence-based tools in education systems worldwide.
Foster a culture of accountability in the EdTech industry, ensuring that products deliver on their promises to improve learning outcomes.
As AI continues to reshape the educational landscape, ICEIE’s work has never been more relevant. By building trust in what works, ICEIE is paving the way for a future where every learner has access to tools that are not only innovative but also proven to enhance education.
